Easter

Ever have those moments where you just can't get it all together?  Well, I have been having a couple weeks filled with them!  It seems like one thing after another is seriously cramping my style, and I am not just talking about the velour track suit that I have worn for 2 weeks straight. I'm talking about life people.

We came up with the idea a few months ago to have my parents come to town for Easter but to not tell my sister and surprise her.  It was so fun and so so hard to keep it a secret.  I think that all my energy went towards not ruining the surprise and not towards well....Easter.  Of course, the meaning of Easter was not lost on me and the truth of Christ's forgiving love but my normal routines like groceries, baking cookies, coloring eggs for the purpose of ruining to create deviled eggs, cute cute decorations and bowls filled with candy on every flat surface...those things.  But let me tell you, I am blessed.  I am blessed with not only wonderful parents but also wonderful in-laws!  When I decided to host Easter I had it in the bag but when it came right down to it, I was more scattered than a chicken.  Is that a figure of speech or did I just make that up?  Basically, I invited my inlaws over for Easter and then had them bring all the food.  Yeah, that is what happen.  I was mortified and I'm still feeling a bit guilty about it as I type.  Would you like to come over to my house for dinner, oh and can you bring the dinner? What a mess I am!  Of course all my family, inlaws and those that birthed me, are wonderful and made me feel like this was a perfectly normal practice and that I shouldn't think otherwise.  In fact, I didn't even realize what was happening until the night before when I didn't know what to make cause everything was already taken. So this is my shout out to the family!  Thank you for not holding it against me.  Thank you for coming over to my house and doing all the work.  Thank you for making this Easter work out to wonderful!
